CHASE - Children's Hospice Service
CHASE is a very special children's hospice service, dedicated to the support of children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday. It offers care and support for the children and their families. This vital service is available at no cost to the families 24 hours a day, every day of the year, in whatever way it is needed, emotionally or practically.

DELTA DELTA is a nationwide support group of teachers and parents of deaf children, providing support, information and advice to guide parents in helping their children develop normal speech and to live independently within a hearing society. There are regional branches which hold regular meetings and events DELTA also runs conferences and courses for professionals, parents and families, including summer schools for parents with hearing-impaired children - while the children enjoy themselves, their parents attend lectures, workshops and discussion groups.

Dial UK DIAL UK is the national organisation for the DIAL network - 140 Disability advice centres run by and for people with disabilities. Employment Opportunities For People With Disabilities As UK charity working directly with people with a wide range of disabilities to help them find and retain work. Employment Opportunities seeks to persuade others to positively recognise ability and potential. We have a network of Regional centres offering practical help with training and advice on job searches, CVs, application forms and interviews. The Family Fund Trust The purpose of Family Fund Trust is to ease the stress on families who care for severely disabled children under 16, by providing grants and information related to the care of the child. The Trust is an independent organisation registered as a charity and funded by the government administrations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Grants given include washing machines, holidays, leisure activities, driving lessons, bedding, clothing and other items related to the care of the child.
Headway - The Brain Injury Association Headway exists to promote understanding of all aspects of head injury and to provide information, support and services to people with head injury, their families and carers. There are over 110 local groups around the UK. Over 50 run Headway House day care centres. Contact details of the local groups are available from Central Office where we can also provide straightforward information on many aspects of head injury.

Leukaemia Care Society Leukaemia CARE was initially founded by a group of parents whose children had suffered from leukaemia. In addition to the support and friendship this created, they also wished to extend this to other leukaemia patients and sufferers in a similar position. Motability Motability is a registered UK charity, which helps disabled people become more mobile. They help disabled people use their Higher Rate Mobility Component of their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) to lease or buy a car or buy a powered wheelchair or scooter.
Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Funds research into treatments and cures for the muscular dystrophies and allied muscle wasting conditions. Supports adults and children affected with expert clinical care, counselling and grants towards equipment.

National Pyramid Trust For Children
The National Pyramid Trust offers a screening process for use in primary schools to identify children with emotional and social problems. Suitable children then attend an after school club run by trained volunteers.
Network 81 Network 81 offers practical help and support to parents throughout all stages of assessment and statementing as outlined in the Education Act 1996. Rathbone Special Education Advice Line National helpline offering advice and support to parents with children with special educational needs, helping them gain for their children an education appropriate to their potential. Areas of help: school admissions, school stages, statementing (and statement analysis), tribunals and appeals, bullying.
RNID The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) is the largest charity representing the 8.7 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. As a membership charity, we aim to achieve a radically better quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing people. We do this by campaigning and lobbying vigorously, by raising awareness of deafness and hearing loss, by providing services and through social medical and technical research.

UK Thalassaemia Society Aims and objectives of the society: The relief of persons suffering from Thalassaemia. The promotion and co-ordination of research in connection with Thalassaemia. To educate people on the problems of Thalassaemia. Lectures with the aid of slides and/or video films in order to explain Thalassaemia in simple language to any group of people who wish to learn about it. To offer counselling to sufferers and carriers. To bring together patients, families and well-wishers to exchange ideas and information. To raise by any legal means the funds required for the above activities. Unique - The Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group Unique offers contact with families with an affected member who has the same rare chromosome disorder or, who has similar symptoms or practical concerns, irrespective of specific chromosome disorder. It produces a comprehensive range of family-friendly, medically-verified leaflets on various rare chromosome disorders. There is a network of local contacts and Unique promotes awareness of rare chromosome disorders to the public and and professional workers. It co-ordinates families to assist in research and has a password-protected discussion forum on the website for registered members. It publishes a magazine three times a year and has information available, details on request. Unique has over 6,500 affected families and many professionals as members world-wide.
